The motel is in Manasquan, a town that balances perfectly between being a calm family residential community and an animated summer hot spot. You are on Highway 71, the major artery running through these shore towns. One unique aspect of this location is its nearness to the inlet where one can watch boats passing between the ocean and river or engage in fishing; actual beach distance from here amounts to about a mile away-while considered walkable by active adults (approximately twenty minutes), it’s quite far when carrying coolers and chairs.

You are also just north of Point Pleasant Beach. A five-minute drive south brings you to Jenkinson’s Boardwalk, famous for its aquarium, amusement rides, arcades and nightlife. By staying at Twin Oaks, you can have the best of both worlds- chaos on the boardwalk and then a quiet sleep in Manasquan. The downtown area of Manasquan (Main Street) is also very close with boutique shops , Algonquin Arts Theatre and some great local restaurants which are less "touristy" than the ones near the boardwalk fry shacks .
